SERP – (Search Engine Results Page)

SERP (stands for: Search Engine Results Page) – a website that displays search engine results for keywords typed in. The results are divided into two types – organic (natural) and paid, that is, PPC ads. Pages in the SERP are selected based on various factors by the search engine algorithm. Visibility in the SERPs can be affected by SEO efforts to tailor the page for the keywords searched, or, in the case of paid results, by the auction mechanism of the AdWords (PPC) platform. Each search result consists of a page title, an associated URL and a short description that considers the highlighted keywords.
