Conversion

Conversion – in online marketing, the term refers to the goals achieved with websites. It is seen as the performance by a potential customer of a specific action on the site, which is expected by the site owner. Conversion is thus an expected action on the part of the user, a response to actions promoting the site through its positioning or specific advertising campaigns. Conversion goals include making a purchase, registering a customer account, staying on the website as long as possible, leaving contact information, signing up for a newsletter, clicking on a banner ad on the site, filling out a form, etc. The conversion rate tells what percentage of the audience completed the conversion goal, i.e., performed the specific action the website owner expected. To calculate the conversion rate, divide the number of desired actions performed on the site by the number of unique visitors to the site, and multiply the result times 100%.
