1’st birthday – blog eCommerce manager

by | 3 January 2022 | Other | 0 comments

The eCommerce manager blog celebrates its 1’st birthday. For this reason, I have prepared a summary for the last 12 months’ summary.

A summary of the eCommerce Manager Blog

The first blog entry was published on the 16th of December 2020, which concerned marketing automation in eCommerce. You can find the link to the post here. Although I have spent the last year creating online stores as an eCommerce product manager, I was also focused on how to increase sales in online stores. On the blog I have published 17 articles related to online sales, 5 of which were related to the area of project management in IT. The combination of marketing and developer knowledge from recent years has made it possible to understand the needs of online store owners even better, which is what I am happy about. 🙂

The eCommerce manager blog was created for several reasons. The first is my passion for eCommerce. I must admit that having worked in this industry has been a source of great satisfaction for me. I like helping clients in choosing solutions, creating online stores or driving further sales. Internet trade, despite the annual growth, can be difficult due to ever-increasing, as well as, other industry leaders. You have to do a lot of research to find an unfair advantage for the current or new brand.

The second reason is sharing practical design knowledge. By working with clients from a variety of industries, there are more and more different interesting cases and insights that I would like to share. Guest publications and also practitioners and eCommerce specialists from various industries who deal with, among other things, with creating content, marketing campaigns or b2b implementations daily.

The last reason is learning the disciplines, which I consider one of the most valuable skills, therefore the blog is where I test consistency. 🙂

Summary of 1 year of blogging in numbers:

5 eCommerce specialists from various industries

30 articles:

  • 23 Grzegorz Sękowski – eCommerce marketing and technologies
  • 2 Agnieszka Waliłko – social media
  • 1 Adrian Longosz – e-mail marketing
  • 1 Arkadiusz Szczudło – law in eCommerce
  • 2 Adrianna Ziobro – Facebook Ads & Google Ads campaigns
  • 1 Daniel Martyn – eCommerce b2b

944 unique page views
5 external publications (including 3 in the trade press and portals)

The amount of page views are not very spectacular… I have to admit wholeheartedly that I have neglected SEO activities. It was only at the end of 2021 that I subjected the website to optimization, which will probably result in greater reach in 2022.

What’s coming in 2022?

We will certainly supplement the missing marketing content with remarketing, activities on Tik-Tok and a few marketing topics. However, I would like to focus more on eCommerce technologies. The blog lacks knowledge about eCommerce systems, technologies, and online stores based on SaaS or Open Source architecture. The current year is the division of ⅓ technologies and ⅔ eCommerce marketing. In 2022, I would like to flatten the curve of this inequality. The usability of the website and blog entries will also be improved. Our articles are regularly up to 10,000 characters with no spaces. I realise that without a navigation tree or a table of contents, browsing and reading a blog can be very tedious. I would like to add page navigation to the articles. If there are any topics that you would like to be covered on the blog, let me know in a comment or by e-mail: kontakt@grzegorzsekowski.pl.🙂

Summary

I would also like to thank the guests for their work in developing the articles and willingness to share their knowledge. I would also like to thank all the readers of the blog for their motivation to work and their kind words. I hope that the next year will bear fruit in new articles and more valuable content. Happy 2022! 🙂
